In order to investigate the structure and function of the photoreceptor of crustaceans, the histomorphology of compound eyes in Oratosquilla oratoria was studied by paraffin biopsy technology. The eyes of O.oratoria were short rod-shaped and made up of refractive systems, sensing systems and reflective systems. The refractive system consisted of the cornea and crystalline cone. The sensitization system was composed of 6 distal retinular cells and 7 proximal retinular cells. They kept in touch with each other by protrusions. The rhabdom of the ommatidia was short and closed-type.The reflective system consiseds of pigment ingredients.A kind of syncytial cell was distributed among proximal retinular cells, it may also have a photosensitive function.%为进一步探讨甲壳类光感受器的结构和功能,采用石蜡切片技术对虾蛄复眼组织结构进行了研究.
