A multi-factor appraisal system was developed for evaluating the landscape value of 25 species of herbaceous border plants in Changchun based on analytic hierarchy process. Twenty appraisal indexes were selected in terms of ornamental value, ecological adaptability and application safety. Results show that florescence, green period, disease resistance, the color of flowers, drought tolerance, the color of leaves, speed of diffusion, and cold tolerance affect the ornamental value of herbaceous border plants in Changchun. Twenty-five species of herbaceous border plants could be divided into 3 grades according to the result of comprehensive evaluation, that is, 8 plants belong to grade I (integrate score(J)≧ 2.2), 13 plants to grade II (2.0≦J<2.2), and 4 plants to grade III(7<2.0).%运用层次分析法(AHP)建立草本花境植物景观价值的综合评价模型,从植物观赏性、生态适应性、应用安全性3个方面筛选出20种评价因素,对长春市25种草本花境植物的景观价值进行了综合评价.结果表明:花期、绿期、抗病、花色、耐旱、叶色、扩散速度及耐寒8个评价因素是影响长春市草本花境植物景观价值的主要因子；根据评价结果将25种草本花境植物划分为3个等级:Ⅰ级(分值J≥2.2),花境应用价值高的种类8个；Ⅱ级(2.0≤J＜2.2),花境应用价值较高的种类13个；Ⅲ级(J＜2.0),花境应用价值一般的种类4个,从而为长春市在扩增草本花境植物种类时提供可参考的科学理论依据.
