The world entered aging society in 21th century .With the development of socio‐economic ,tech‐nological structure and iatrology ,the aging population is increasing quickly .the aging problem that Chi‐nese government faced is the unavoidable development trend .Among the aging problems ,the elderly resi‐dential building is one of the important problems ,of which the design mode and development will be fo‐cused on by the whole world .There are many good experiences and achievements in some developed coun‐tries .In this paper ,it is introduced and analyzed the development trend of developed countries in recent years .It tries to enlighten the development of elderly residential building for the aging in our country .%21世纪是人口老龄化的时代。随着社会经济的发展，科学的进步和医学的发达，人的寿命也就随之越来越长，老年人口在总人口的比例也就越来越高。中国人口老龄化的过程已成为发达社会的必然趋势。老年居住建筑的问题是老龄化社会诸多问题中的重要一环，其设计与发展成为目前全球普遍关注的问题。很多发达国家的老年居住体系发展相对成熟，取得了很多成就，该文主要介绍和分析了老年居住建筑近年国外发达国家的发展趋势，以使其对我国老年居住建筑环境的设计和发展具有启示意义。
