基于DPDK技术实现OVS

摘要

Open Virtual Switch(OVS) is a virtual exchange software,which is mainly used for the communication between virtual machine and external network and between virtual machines.This article describes that the polling mode driving (PMD),CPU affinity and huge page technology provided by the OVS using the data plane development kit (DPDK),which make the data packets matching and transmission in user space of OVS,so as to avoid the switching between the multi-core and the packet-receiving driving drive,and greatly improves the processing rate of the data message.%开放式虚拟交换机是一个虚拟交换软件,主要用于虚拟机与外界网络进行通信以及虚拟机之间的通信.文章讲述了OVS利用数据平面开发套件(DPDK)提供的轮询模式驱动(PMD)、CPU亲和性和大页技术,使数据包的匹配和传输都工作在OVS的用户态,避免多核之间收包驱动来回切换,极大的提升了数据报文的处理速率.
