CRYSTALLIZATION AND FRACTAL STRUCTURE OF MOLYBDENA SINGLE CRYSTALS

     

摘要

When a molybdenum sheet was heated properly at 900℃ in an oxidizing atmosphere,Mo5O14 single crystals will grow.The size of the most coarse single crystal is up to 15×1.1mm and 310 nm thick as measured by Rutherford backscattering spectrometry.Some fractalstructure consisting of many molybdena whiskers were observed after heating at 750℃.Anapproach to explain the crystal growth and fractal structure has been discussed.
