Among the most updated Internet technologies, HTML5 brings to the Web totally new experiences. This paper discusses the local and offline storage of HTML5 and IndexedDB, the essential database system indis-pensible for local and offline storage, to design a HTML5 based multi-functional product demo system that can run on tablet.%HTML5技术是目前最新的互联网应用技术，它给Web带来了全新的体验。本文探讨了HTML5本地存储和离线存储的功能，以及本地离线功能必不可少的一种新型的数据库IndexedDB，探讨应用HTML5设计一种可运行在平板电脑中的多功能产品演示系统。
