Comparative studies on Chinese and foreign library science education is an important research field of comparative librarianship.Research on the methodology and other theoretical questions of comparative studies on Chinese and foreign education is conducive to promoting its standardized development,thus stepping up the practical value for Chinese library science education.Based on comparative education and other disciplines,some fundamental theoretical issues including research questions,methods and the mission of comparative studies on Chinese and foreign library science education,were discussed in this paper.
