Transarterial chemoembolization (TACE) has been recommended as a first-line therapy for patients with unresectable hepatocellular carcinomas. Similarly, this type of treatment for lung tumors, transpulmonary chemoembolization (TPCE), has also been regarded as a novel approach for unresectable pulmonary metastases.
