父权制社会的牺牲品——解析《玻璃动物园》中的女性形象

摘要

In the perspective of feminist,this paper attempts to explore the sufferings and miseries of the two heroines lived in the patriarchal society by analyzing the two representative female characters in The Glass Menageri written by Williams. It reveals the extended social significance of the play,namely,woman served as ＂the other＂ is in the secondary position in male-dominated society,man can＇t save woman＇s fate and the reliance on patriarchy will lead to tragedy in the end.%文章以女性主义为视角,探讨威廉斯在《玻璃动物园》戏剧中极具代表性的两位女性人物,分析两位女主人公在父权中心社会下的痛苦和不幸。揭示该剧的引申社会意义——父权制社会中女性作为＂他者＂被压抑﹑从属的地位,男人拯救不了女人的命运,依赖父权中心最终将走向悲剧。
