Study on Synthesis and Characterization of Functional PS Microspheres Modified by Polyperoxide (PPX)

摘要

Peroxy functionalized polystyrene core was synthesized by emulsion polymerization using PPX as inisurf. The second stage polymerization was carried out by direct grafting of shell monomers (BuA and MMA) to the surface of functionalized PS seed latex particles which contain labile peroxy groups. The reaction kinetics of both of the two stage polymerization, the particle size measurement, DSC analysis were given.
