新时期以来湖南高校所编文学理论教材的发展,经历了从“外部研究”到“内外结合”的转变过程。1990年代以前的教材侧重于“外部研究”,主要探讨文学与时代、社会的关系;1990年代以后的教材有所继承与创新,一方面继续重视文学与时代、社会的关系,另一方面回归文学本身,揭示文学的审美性及文学语言的特点,并实现了对文学研究的“内外结合”。%The textbooks of literary theory compiled by the universities in Human Province have undergone the innovation of“external study”to“internal-external unification study”. The textbooks of literary theory before the 1990s focused on“external study”.The post-1990s literary theory textbooks, on one hand, have both inherited and innovated the previous textbooks, focusing on the study of the relation of literature with the times and the society;on the other, the study returned to literature proper, focusing on uncovering the aesthetic value of literature and the characteristics of literary language. Hence the“internal-external unification study”in the literary studies.
