Based on laboratory experiments, this paper discusses the influences of different nature-friendly river training measures on river bed morphology, bed load transport as well as their effects on river bed stabilization. The experiments were conducted in a 24-m long, 70-cm wide trapezoidal 11nine with movable bed. The hydraulic and sediment transport parameters such as water level. flow velocity distribution, bed load transport and bed topography were measured by using modern instruments. The results showed that with the nature-friendly river training measures the water depth is higher and the bed load transport capacity is lower than those without these works. The bed topography and the flow structure were diversified. The experimental results also indicated that various measures exhibit different effects on bed erosion. The results can be used in engineering practice.
