Preface One question frequently raised in discussions with colleagues from neighboring countries,and with European and American scholars who follow closely China’s neighboring relations is,how does China define its relations with neighboring countries?Although as early as sixty years ago,the Chinese government already provided the answer of five principles of peaceful
