H you 518 is a super hybrid late rice combination bred through three-line breeding jointly by Hunan Agricultural University and Hengyang Institute of Agricultural Science. The combination showed relatively early maturity, high yield, good agronomic traits, high quality of grain, relatively strong resistance and other characteristics, when it was machine-transplanted and field-demonstrated in Nanxian County of Hunan Province in 2012.
