The multi-span parabolic ropeway design system developed by Visual Basic 6.0 is in accordance with the national forest aerial ropeway design specifications. The functions of the design system mainly include design calculation of ropeway parameters and drawing of vertical section profile. The design calculation includes the calculation of skyline, work ropes and hoist The drawing of vertical section profile includes drawing of ropeway shape, judging of doubtful points and selecting of ways and means of logging.
