Wavelength Stabilization of 980nm Pump LDs by Using External Narrowband UV Induced FBG Reflectors

摘要

Narrow band low-reflectivity UV induced fiber Bragg gratings have been used to stabilize the 98ourn pump LD’s wavelength to obtain optimum absorption in the erbium doped fiber. This paper presents an approximate formula for the estimation of effective wavelength stabilization range. The factors which affect the effective wavelength stabilization range are discussed. The theoretical analysis well coincides with the empiric measurement results.
