Evaluation of sustainable development capability in karst region has been playing a very important role since the full implement of comprehensive control project of rocky desertification in karst region in southwest China. With the purpose of providing references for monitoring and evaluating the sustainable development of rehabilitation and reconstruction of degraded ecosystems in karst region, based on Chinese knowledge resources pool, the author reviewed relevant researches on evaluation of sustainable development since 1996, and found that the quantity of papers showed a rapid increasing trend. The characteristics of relevant studies were as follows; 1) Various element sizes, including karst regions, provinces (autonomous regions), counties (cities), towns, demonstration areas, watershed and community, were studied except administrative village, which went against the linkage of new rural construction and ecological restoration. 2 ) The research objectives were various, such as status description, explanation of reasons, benefit monitoring, early warning prediction and providing references for regional planning, whereas status description and benefit monitoring were given priority to. 3) The construction of evaluation indexes of sustainable development capability was generally guided by the model of dual economic structure of urban and rural areas, which lacked the guidance of fair equality of opportunity when standing for social and economical development indicators.%我国对西南喀斯特地区石漠化综合治理工程的全面展开,喀斯特地区可持续发展能力评价将继续是评估石漠化治理工程效益的重要手段.为了对监测和评价喀斯特地区退化生态系统的恢复和重建工程可持续发展提供参考,以中国知识资源总库的文献为基础,综述了自1996年起有关喀斯特地区可持续发展能力评价的相关研究.喀斯特地区可持续发展能力评价的研究论文数量呈快速增长趋势,相关研究存在以下特点:1)可持续发展能力研究有喀斯特地区、省(自治区)、县(市)、乡镇、示范区、小流域、社区等不同单元尺度,但缺少以行政村为单元尺度的评价研究,不利于将政府所实施的新农村规划建设与生态恢复的衔接.2)研究目的多样,主要有现状描述、原因解释、效益监测、预测预警和为区域规划提供依据等,但以现状描述和效益监测目的为主.3)研究者在构建可持续发展能力评价指标时一般在城乡二元结构的模式指导下进行,在代表社会、经济等发展指标时缺乏机会均等等原则的指导.
