The 28th International Symposium and Meeting of the International Commission on the History of Geology was held in Dublin from 14 to 18 July 2003. Fittingly, the venue was the Geological Museum and Department of Geology at Trinity College. The College,founded in 1592, has numerous distinguished graduates, including many in earth sciences and history.
