In 2001,a joint team of Turkish and Mongolian archeologists found a treasure trove in Bilge Khagan's Mausoleum in Central Mongolia.It was composed of thousands of precious artifacts,among which were gold items including belt buckles,waistbands,bowls,dishes,and ornamental plates.The most remarkable find was a golden royal crown.The discovery provides a good many valuable materials and new clues for further research in Turkic archaeology.
