Low Volatile Fujian Anthracite as Fuel for Thermal Power Plants

摘要

For anthracite with very low content of volatile matter, all the boiler makers of international prestige propose furnaces with U- or double U-flame for the burning of such fuel. For the existing 4-corner tangential firing boilers in Fujian power plants, much research and innovation efforts have been expended to burn Fujian anthracites, and notable improvement of combustion conditions was attained. This led to our belief that tangential firing boilers can also successfully fire anthracite with very low volatile matter. This paper outlines the research and development work on such boilers in power plants in Fujian Province.
