During the 10th Five Year period, SG achieved great development, yet certain problems needed to be solved. From macroscopic point of view, being an infrastructure in national economy, power grid in China has been relatively weak. Looking into power industry inside, problems exist. For instance, unified planning functions are weakened, optimal disposition in larger scopes is unreachable, power grid technology and equipment are in urgent need of upgrad and self-development capability of power grid is inadequate. To have these problems well solved becomes critical tasks in the 11th Five Year period.
