When the circuit breaker is switched on, one large on-off inrush current would be generated. If the peak value of this inrush current is larger than the setting value of the over-current protection or value of the instantaneous trip protection, it would cause unwanted operation of the protection device and also lead to the failure of the closing operation. This paper designed one kind of protection device based on the PIC16F716 to realize the inrush current control function. When the inrush current occurs, the designed device would disable the protection, while when over-current or short-circuit faults happens, the device's protection would.be enabled, and then the circuit breaker would trip. This operating principle would reduce the times of the unwanted operations, and improve the power distribution reliability.%断路器合闸瞬间,会产生较大的涌流.如果涌流值超过了过流或者速断保护的整定值,就可能会导致保护误动,造成合闸失败.设计了一种基于PIC16F716单片机的涌流控制保护装置,当涌流发生时,将保护闭锁,当发生过流、短路等故障时,执行保护功能,断路器跳闸.从而减少保护误动,提高供电可靠性.
