The fieldbus technology is very significant to the industry. First the definition 、development and composition of Distributed Control System is briefly introduced in the paper . Then, the present application situation and latest developments of the fieldbus technology are discussed from the aspect of the formation background、 conception 、 feature 、 advantages and composition.
