AN EVIDENCE SUPPORTS ACUPOINTS SPECIFICITY FROM FUNCTIONAL MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING STUDY

摘要

Acupuncture has been proved to be effective against many kinds of disorders. Although the specificity of acupoints was indicated by clinical observation, it has not been scientifically proved. In the present study, functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) was employed to explore whether there exists any specificity among the effect of different acupoints. Methods: All experiments were performed on a 1.9T GE/Elscint
