This paper presents a modeling investigation of NO. formation and destruction caused by fuel staging combustion. Based on the overall gas-phase reaction model of Miller and Bowman, the mechanism govering NO. destruction is analysed in detail through sensitivity calculation. Furthermore, the main process parameters affecting NO. emission are discussed, the calculation results show that primary-zone stoichiometry, temperature of reburn-zone, reburn fuel fraction and reburn fuel type all play important roles to NO. reduction in fuel staging combustion.
