The heat transfer and friction characteristics of 90 deg. twisted square duct were experimentally and numerically studied. With the constraints of same mass flow rate and same pumping power, the performence of twisted duct is compared with that untwisted duct. Itis shown that the average heat transfer performance of twisted duct is better than that ofulltwisted one, and with the increasing of Re., the superiority of twisted duct to untwisted duct increases.
