Tidal energy is the hydropower that converts the energy obtained from tides into useful forms of power,mainly electricity. Tidal energy is one kind of renewable energy sources,and tides are more predictable than the wind and the sun,due to the fact that tidal currents are controlled by the gravitational fields of the Earth,moon,and sun,thus very reliable.Tidal energy has potential for future electricity generation.
