SECOND PERIODICITY ELEMENTS IN THE STABLE HOMOTOPY GROUPS OF SPHERES

The first periodicity elements in the stable homotopy groups of spheies π_*(S^0)_p are those elements having filtration one in the Novikov spectral sequence. It is well known that they assign a one-to-one correspondence with the generators of p primary of imJ. But, in recent years, only part of the second periodicity
