Structure elucidation of polychlorinated biphenyls by X-ray analysis

POLYCHLORINATED biphenyls (PCBs) are a class of compounds of which some members are po-tential threats to the environment. A great deal of research has been carried out on various as-pects of PCBs, including the prediction of their gas chromatographic retention times, the pre-diction of their physical and chemical properties, the study of their toxic equivalency factor ap-proach and the elucidation of their active receptor models, the study of their environmental be-havior and treatment, and so on, all of them are related to their molecular structures.
