Glucosidase is an important digestive enzymein insect.The plant-sucking insect,the white-backed planthopper Sogatella furcifera,in-gests rice phloem sap and must use this en-zyme to decompose the main sugar source ofdisaecharide sucrose into monosaccharide glu-cose and fructose for normal absorption.
