SURVEY AND ANALYSIS OF 370 HIGHLANDERS FOR SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF BLOOD STASIS

Taking the changes in sublingual veins, the tongue proper and nails, and ecchymoses of skin as criteria, 370 Highlanders were observed and analyzed for blood stasis. The results showed that 68.10% had signs and symptoms of blood stasis. There was significant difference between patients with plateau sickness and those with ordinary diseases. However, no such difference was found between long line residents and immigrants. Certain correlation was also revealed between the duration of immigration and appearance of signs and symptoms of blood stasis in immigrants.
