The Chinese Medical Association will hold an Interna-tional Conference on Biomedical Periodicals from June16-18, 1994 in Beijing, with the theme of quality control andfuture of biomedical journals.The Conference covers a wide range of topics: peer re-view and quality control; ISO standards and biomedical jour-nals; overall planning (editorial policy and selection of con-tents) and its guiding role; ethics and legal responsibilities ofauthors and editors; administration and economics; develop-ment and future of scientific journals.
