Eco-design has made great developments since it became an important trend of modem landscape planning and design. But how to do it has been the bottleneck for a long time to limit the development of eco-design and is in trouble of more talking and less doing. The lack of eco-design language is the key reason and at the same time also is the critical way to break through the bottleneck. Landscape ecological design requires a complete guidance of eco-design language to do eco-design and constitute the basic eco-design paradigms and frameworks. Landscape factors, landscape spatial units, landscape spatial pattern and ecological process are the basic components of eco-design language, and taking ecological flow and process as the internal structure of design language, which are used as grammar to link the spatial pattern, natural landscape pattern, culture landscape pattern and network pattern as a landscape mosaic with the characteristics of totality, integrity, connectivity and dynamic.%生态设计自成为风景园林设计重要的发展方向以来已取得了很大发展,但“如何开展生态设计”成为长期以来困扰生态设计发展的核心瓶颈,使生态设计多处于“说得多做得少”的困境中.生态设计语言的缺失是形成这一困境的关键原因,同时它也是突破这一困境的关键途径.景观生态化设计需要一个完整的生态设计语言来指导生态化设计,并构成生态设计的基本范式和框架.景观要素、景观空间单元、基本组合与空间格局以及生态过程作为生态设计语言基本构成,以生态流与生态过程为内在连接规律,将生态设计的空间图示、自然景观图式、文化景观图式、网络化图式等连接为一个具有整体性、完整性、连续性、动态性特征的整体性景观.
