Face Challenges in an Effort to Achieve Our Mission

On 25 March 1994, the State Council of China approved China's Agenda 21--White Paper on China's Population, Environment and Development in the 21st Century. On that same day, the Administrative Centre for China's Agenda 21 (ACCA21) was established to manage the daily affairs and facilitate the implementation of China's Agenda 21. In the past 10 years, ACCA 21 has done many fruitful work on assisting the formulation and implementation of local Agenda 21, promoting sustainable development of science and technology, enhancing local capacity of sustainability, promoting international exchange and cooperation and raising public awareness of sustainable development and understanding of China's Agenda 21.
