@@ 我院自1966～1983年共有715例隐睾患者接受手术治疗.手术后年龄已满17周岁者162例,其中57例门诊随访.现报告随访结果,并就有关问题进行讨论.%57 over-17-year-old patients who had received orchiopexy for cryptorchidism were followed up.68 testes available for follow-up were found significantly smaller than their normal opposite testes(p＜0.001).3 patients with unilateral cryptorchidism and 2 with bilateral type enjoy their married life and 2 of them have become fathers.2 bilateral cases remained childless due to azoospermia or testicular fibrosis.The semen of 18 unilateral cases under evaluation contained more than 60 million sperms per ml. The sperm count of the semen of 18 unilateral cases under evaluation was over 60 million/ml in 9 cases, and less than 50 million/ml in the other 5.No sperm was found in 4 bilateral cases.The convoluted tubules in 26 follow-up biopsies from the cryptorchidism were dysplastic in moderate to severe degree. Spermatogenesis in various degree was markedly hindered except in 6 specimens with a few matured sperms.The long-term result of orchiopexy performed after the age of 6 is poor as shown by the follow-up histological findings.
