Thirty-four cases with paralyzed quadriceps owing to anterior polymyotitis Were treated by transferation of satorius to replace quadriceps from 1958 to 1980.Among them, there were 22 males and 12 females, the ages ranged from 4 to 15 years. All of the cases had the symptomes of unstability of affecting knee joints: limp, tendency to fall down(15 cases), pressing the front of the thigh with hand during walk(13 cases), using walking stick(3 cases). The force of the satorius for transfering was 4 to 5 degree except one case with 3 degree. The follow-up results of 87% cases were satisfied for 8 to 29 years(with an average of 19 years). The indications and the order of correcting of the deformities of the hip, knee or foot are discusssed.%作者报告采用缝匠肌代股四头肌手术治疗34例小儿脊髓灰质炎股四头肌瘫痪.术后平均随访16年,优良率达87%.介绍了缝匠肌的应用解剖,提出小儿5～10岁为手术最佳时机.在腘绳肌肌力3级以下,缝匠肌为4级以上时选择此手术是理想的方法.说明了矫正髋、膝、足畸形的重要性和先后次序,评价了获得优良效果的买践经验.
