There are plenty of exciting explorations in otology research recently.Advanced microscopic imaging technology provides the opportunity to study ultrastructure of the inner ear,which could accelerate the synaptopathy re-search. Well-established in vivo operations ensure that systemic hearing studies are performed without damaging the hearing pathway function.Single cell labeling and sorting approach have promoted the accuracy and standardization of inner ear hair cell regeneration study.The recent progress in gene editing technology and delivery methods development greatly has improved the efficiency of gene manipulation,which facilitates gene therapy for hearing loss.We all are in-spired by these achievements in basic and translational research in otology.%近年来耳科学研究日新月异:显微成像技术的进步推动了耳科研究向更精细结构的进军,突触研究方兴未艾;保证听觉通路完整前提下开展在体听觉研究,听力研究更加系统;单细胞标记和筛选使得内耳研究更加精细和客观,再生研究大有作为;基因编辑技术和载体研发的快速发展极大地提高了基因调控的效率,基因治疗已现曙光.耳科学在基础研究和转化研究都取得了令人振奋的成果.
