互联网体系结构评估模型、机制及方法研究综述

         

摘要

The Internet architecture evaluation models serve as the theoretical foundation to promote the sustainable development of the Internet architecture. It ensures that the operators and users of the Internet are able to choose the most suitable protocols or mechanisms to construct an Internet architecture that satisfies various kinds of application requirements. With the increasing diversity of the Internet applications, the security, stability, and mobility of Internet are facing more and more challenges. Therefore, the evolution of the Internet architecture has become the consensus among both academics and industry practitioners. In recent years, both the modification strategies and the Dirty-Slate strategies of the internet architecture have been proposed. Building on the stability of the former and the novelty of the latter, we propose an Internet architecture based on the evolutionary model. Beside the internet architecture itself, the architecture evaluation methods have also become increasingly important in the design of Internet architecture. The service capacity, the development capacity, and the security capacity of the Internet architecture have been assessed by researchers from the perspectives of the protocol and the frame- work. In this article, we introduce the basic evaluation models of the serviceability, the scalability, the deployment, the evolvability and the reliability of the Internet architecture; summarize the mechanisms of constructing the Internet architecture evaluation models; discuss the application of the utility theory in the evaluation models; and survey the existing evaluation methods. Based on the survey, we propose an adaptability-oriented Internet architecture evaluation system, taking into consideration of the internal and external properties of the Internet architecture; and discuss the prospectus of the Internet architecture evaluation.%互联网体系结构评估模型是推动互联网体系结构持续发展的理论支撑,它可以为运营商提供网络体系结构设计的相关建议,从而使运营商可选取最适合的协议或机制构建符合各种应用需求的互联网体系结构.随着互联网应用日趋多样化,互联网的安全性、稳定性、移动性等面临越来越大的挑战.互联网体系结构的演进已经成为学术界和工业界的共识,面向现有体系结构问题的修补策略以及革命式的体系结构方案不断被提出,借鉴前者的稳定性和后者的创新性,我们提出了一种基于演进式的互联网体系结构发展思路.为了更好地了解各种互联网体系结构发展方案,近年来,研究人员分别从协议、框架等不同方面对体系结构的服务能力、发展能力和安全能力进行了评估,互联网体系结构评估方法已经成为未来互联网体系结构研究的一大热点.文中介绍了与互联网体系结构发展密切相关的五种特性的基本评估模型,包括可服务性、可扩展性、可部署性、可演化性和可信性评估模型;归纳了用于构造互联网体系结构评估模型的机制,重点讨论了效用机制在这五类基本评估模型中的应用;并对用于实现互联网体系结构评估的若干方法进行了总结.基于上述讨论,文中最后从互联网体系结构的内在特性和外在特性出发,提出了一种基于适应能力的互联网体系结构可演进性评估系统,并对互联网体系结构评估领域的发展进行了展望.
