Chinese Journal of Chemistry has been experiencing some visible changes.In 2019,we are very happy to witness the achievements of the reform,especially on the substantial improvement in the quality of manuscripts.The immediacy index in 2018 is 1.840,which is more than four times of that in 2017 (Figure 1).The average citations in 2019 per paper published in 2018 is about 5,as compared to 2.4 for 2017 (according to the data of Web of Science available on November 20,2019).The annual full-text downloads in 2018 increased by 24％ as compared with 2017.Among the following ten most cited manuscripts in 2019,seven were published in 2018,two in 2019 and one in 2016.
