Disruption of microtubule cytoskeleton plays an important role during the evolution of brain damage after transient cerebral ischemia.However,it is still unclear whether microtubule-stabilizing drugs such asepothilone D(EpoD)have a neuroprotective action against the ischemia-induced brain injury.
