This paper presents a set of fundamental equations for reliability analysis ofsingle-critical-point aircraft structures.The mathematical model is formulated by consideringthe following factors:the static strength of structure,initial crack,the initiationand propagation and unstability of fatigue crack,the residual strength of structure,thestatistical distribution of load,the periods of overhaul,accident damage,the communicationof damage among fleets etc.Based on this mathematical model,the influence of thesefactors on the reliability can be quantitatively analyzed,and various criteria for fatiguedesign of aircraft structures can be evaluated from the aspect of reliability.
