Synthesis and Crystal Structure of NiL_2(H_2O)_2(ClO_4)_2L=MBPT=4-P-methylphenyl-3,5-bis-(pyridin-2-yl)-1,2,4-triazole

The Nickel （II） complex, [Ni（MBPT）2（H2,O）2],](C1O-（4-2）, （MBPT=4-p-methylphenyl-3.5- 3,5 bis- （pyridin -2 -y1）-1, 2, 4-triazo1e）. was synthesized and its crystal structure determined by X-ray diffraction methods.The complex adopts a distorted octahedral environment made up of two bidentate chelating MBPT ligands in the equatorial plane and two water molecules filling the axial positions.
