30kt／a MEK Project Kicked off at Lanzhou Refining and Chemical Complex

The construction of the 30 kt/a MEK (methyl ethyl ketone)unit was officially kicked off at PetroChina Lanzhou Refining and Chemical Complex. This unit uses n-butylene as the feedstock, which is then converted into tert-butanol, dehydrogenation of which gives MEK. This project is the largest one following the assets restructuring at Lanzhou Refining and Chemical Complex, and the investment totals 220 million RMB.
