Experts recently suggested China set up a state energy base in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to ease its energy thirst. The survey was co-conducted by senior researchers from the National Development and Reform Commission, Development Research Center of the State Council, Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Finance. To plan and establish strategic energy bases at state level is in line with the principle of 'giving priority to energy saving and diversifying energy consumption with the utility of coal at the core.' It is the fundamental solution to meet the country's huge energy demand, according to experts.
