Bulk Texture Study on Mg Alloys Wide Strip Processed by Twin-roll Casting

Basal texture in Mg alloys plays a significant role during plastic deformation.Weakening the strong basal texture was found to be an effective way to improve both the strain hardening ability and ductility of Mg alloys.In this study,twirr roll casting(TRC)technology has been appliedto produce the wide pure Mg,AZ31,A4S2 and A8S2 Mg alloy sheets.Neutron diffraction was used to explore the bulk texture distribution in different position of Mg alloy sheets(Fig.1).
