On 12 March 2019,CIAE completed rolling of a supporting ring for main vessel of demonstration fast reactor,a new breakthrough in CIAE,s efforts to independently develop key equipment for a Demonstration Fast Reactor(DFR)in China.The supporting ring with a diameter of 15.4 m was designed to be used for research purposes.It also served as a symbol that China had been among the international leading levels in manufacturing stainless steel ring forgings with mass above 140 tons and diameter of 16 meters.On July 22.
