1 Study on Separation of Np and Pu From U in Purex U-cycle Process Jiang Hao Zheng Weifang Chang Zhiyuan Yu Enjiang Pan Yongjun Zhu Jianmin Liu Liming The work is a preliminary investigation on the application of complexing agents to the improvement of U/Np and U/Pu partition. Batch extraction and reextraction experiments were carried out with some aliphatic dicarboxylates and hydroxycarboxylates as complexing agents. The effects of varing complexing agent and nitric acid concentration, phases ratio, temperature and mixed time on the DNp and DPu in extraction and reextraction process are studied. Under Purex second U-cycle conditions, the SFNp/U and SFPu/U obtained with some hydroxycarboxylates and simulated feed by cascade extraction technique are 100-300 times and 10 times respectively larger than that of hydroxylamine as oxido-reduction agent.
