正Shape changes that occur from Coriolis and centrifugal forces in the transitional nuclei are significant and have a large impact on the properties of the rotational bands in the band-crossing regions. For example, very recently, in the even-even platinum isotopes 182-186Pt, a steep decline in B(E2) (and, hence, in Qt ) values beyond the 10+ state in yrast band have been observed. It has been attributed to the deformation forces of the alignment of the I13/2 neutrons. The nucleus changes from prolate shape at low
