The interactions of 2,2’-bipyridyl with the lanthanide nitrates werestudied and complexes of the formula Ln（NO8）8（bipy）8 were isolated from water-ethanol mixed solvent.The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis,conductivity measurments,IR spectra and DAT-TG analysis.
