Financed by the World Bank’s loan on the Development Program for Key Disciplines, seven State key laboratories under the CAS administration, headed by the State Key Laboratory of Engineering Plastics, have secured the basic conditions for opening to the outside world after two years of infrastructural construction and preparation. In line with the appraisal conducted by experts from the related disciplines, they were officially approved to open to domestic and foreign researchers on December 13, 1993, by CAS headquarters.
